We dove with Ty and he was a great teacher and very patient, especially when helping me learn how to dive and stay calm while I was super nervous. Super patient with me while I tried to get the hang of it, especially since I had some trouble popping my ears. Would definitely recommend, and come back to In2Scuba again if in Maui! Also, very easy to communicate with Ty throughout the booking and confirmation process, and he helped us connect back up with In2Scuba later on during our stay to get a left behind item.

Had a family outing and our kids first ever scuba diving experience. Called last minute and he worked around his schedule to make sure we were able to scuba while we were on our visit in Maui. Our instructor Ty was very informative and made sure we were very prepared to hit the open water at Airport Beach. We had a 12 year old who was a little nervous when he entered the water and Ty took him aside to give him his own little lesson and show him how easy scuba diving can be when you follow what the instructor has taught you. Loved the special attention. He took us down under the water and showed us the beautiful reef, pointing out different fish and keeping us comfortable while we were down under the water. I would defiantly recommend In2scuba and Ty as it was an awesome experience for the whole family.

This was a dive I would highly recommend. As a new certified diver Deborah was not only patient and helpful but I felt totally safe and taken care of. Even at my beginner level she allowed me to see everything there was and it was a lot: puff fish, shark, turtles galore, crabs, needle fish, and so much more. She video taped and took pictures that my whole family were impressed with. Now they want to go! She took care of everything and couldn’t have been nicer. She also had tremendous knowledge about the fish and the location. At the end we came up to a beautiful rainbow to match the perfect dive!

Found Ty and In2Scuba online. I’m a certified diver, but I booked this trip primarily for my twin 11 year old boys and my wife. Ty was great. As a certified diver I watched Ty give a detailed and thorough explanation of the safety principles involved in scuba diving. He worked well with my boys and my wife, who was admittedly somewhat nervous. Ty put her concerns at east by his calm and safety-oriented demeanor. Ty lead a very enjoyable beach dive. My family experienced the ocean from a new perspective. We saw tons of fish, eels, and turtles. Having dove around the world with all sorts of diver operators, I cannot recommend Ty highly enough for a Beginners Scuba Diving tour on Maui.

My husband and I had the pleasure of taking our first scuba dive with the incomparable Deborah Lee! I was quite nervous, but her instructions were thorough and safety was her top priority. When we got in the water, I had a moment of panic—Deborah calmed me down, talked me through my anxiety, and held my hand as we descended. She continued to hold my hand until I felt comfortable on my own. I am so glad I had Deborah with me to make the experience phenomenal. I felt safe and we had a great time! Don’t miss out on this great excursion. It was the highlight of our trip to Maui!

Ty was an excellent instructor. Safety was his #1 priority which was important to us a first-time divers. We did two dives, both at great locations and had the opportunity to see beautiful coral reefs and amazing wildlife – including a reef shark! We had a great time and highly recommend Ty with In2Scuba.

My husband, two teen boys and I all took an introductory scuba dive lesson during our trip to Maui this month. It was an amazing experience and a memory we’ll treasure forever. It was much easier than we thought it would be and not at all stressful — from the excellent communication and booking experience with Ty, to an incredible lesson and first dive with Deborah. My 13 y.o. loved it so much, he went back the next day for the Mala Wharf dive as well. He was ecstatic to have Deborah lead the dive again. She is wonderful to work with and makes you feel so comfortable, safe and confident. We would all highly recommend In2Scuba when you want to dive Maui. It was the most memorable part of our entire week on the island. I would also recommend getting the GoPro as well. We now have hundreds of photos and video of the epic trip.

They really delivered! My husband and I took advantage of In2Scuba’s Honeymoon Dive Package; I love that we’ll have photos/video to remember this special experience!

We booked a refresher course after a 2.5 years break of diving at the Mala Wharf in Lahaina Maui.
From the first minute on our instructor Ty made us super comfortable we immediately forgot that it was such a long time ago that we went scuba diving. We felt safe and even learnt new thing, the dive was just stunning and one of the best ones we ever had!

My girlfriend and I went on two dives with In2Scuba and had an amazing time. It was my girlfriend’s 2nd time diving and Ty did a great job teaching her the basics so that she could enjoy both the beach and wharf Dive. I highly recommend diving with this company and will be back for sure.

This was my first trip to Maui and I couldn’t have asked for a better scuba experience! We planned to do a basic dive with Deborah. We enjoyed it so much that we added a dive with sea turtles!! Deborah was very patient and knowledgeable. She spent plenty of time preparing us for our dive!! While on our dive, Deborah pointed out several marine creatures we wouldn’t have otherwise noticed!! We will absolutely return to In2Scuba when we return!!

Ty is a friendly, patient, knowledgeable and professional instructor with a wicked sense of humour. The dive was 40 minutes long and it was a wonderful experience. I felt in very safe and capable hands. The price is also very reasonable indeed. Thoroughly recommend this dive.

We went out for a 30 minute shore dive off at the old airport beach. Our guide was very experienced and showed us a great time I. The water. He was great at giving us a refresher on the safety tips as it had been 2 years since getting an open water certificate. Our only regret was that we paid with a card and their system did not prompt for tips. Be sure to bring some cash to tip; I know you’ll want to tip!!

We did a beginner scuba course in maui with in2scuba and had an amazing experience. It was my first time and my wife’s second time. and Ty was very patient with us making sure we felt comfortable before going in the water as a group. he took the time to explain all the equipment and the process. once we felt comfortable and started to scuba we saw some great colorful fish and had some great photos taken for us underwater. It was a fantastic experience and Ty was a great instructor. Would definitely highly recommend Ty to go with for your first time or even if not your first time.

I brought my kids to scuba in maui.. they had only just been certified a year ago and this was their first dive as certified divers.. I wanted something that was safe and a positive experience for them and Ty was all of that and more! He was great with the kids and stressed safety and respect for the ocean and nature.. we did 2 dives and he pointed out and showed us many interesting things.. we saw so many fish and turtles and we had a blast. I would highly recommend and will use In2Scuba again when we return.
